…I went to meet with Respect and Knowledge…and 2 other workers were there… Stanley and Owen.
Knowledge, Owen, Respect, Stanley
Both said they do not go to church…so we had a lesson on Mat. 7:21-23… as it turned out they had a discussion the day before on casting out spirits. Notice what the passage says. smile emoticon God always knows the right verse for the right people. They were sobered…and God was honoured. Pray for fruit that will abound.
We visited Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The grandkids sang the song, “The Countries of Southern Africa”.
They were standing under the David Livingstone Statue. Quite appropriate.
Enjoy…
Well, the heat has officially hit…it was 42 at 1PM when we hit the street. That is 107.6 for those in Fahrenheit country. I expect it ran up to 110 or 112 today without a problem. Sure was warm…but the spiritual temperature matched it.
Great day on the street. We have another 30 or so new Bible students…and many that have turned in lessons. Great gospel conversations today!
And we have a number of good prospects.
Thanks to all who are praying for fruit…the Lord is definitely at work.
One more day on the street…tomorrow afternoon.
The heat has returned and the afternoon in the hot sun has taken it’s toll.
We had a great day. The people were even more open due to getting used to us from the previous days.
We had some good gospel conversations and ended the day with about 50 more Bible studies, bringing us to a total of just over 200 new students.
God is good!
Well, the weather cooled off today. It was quite pleasant outside and made a great day of outreach.
The 4 of us headed out and were at the outreach site all afternoon. We arrived at 1PM and worked till 5PM when we ran out of literature for the last time.
We really had a great time.
We thought we had run out of material and then we found out about another box in the garage and retrieved it.
In all we put out about 1200 tracts and collected almost 40 responses.
The best part was all of the people that were open to talking today! We had some great encounters. The folks are getting used to seeing us there. Some were waiting for us to return.
Well our day ended rather abruptly…were out about 2 hours. The testimony tract we were handing out mentioned the name of a popular church the man was a member of and then went on to tell how he was born again after hearing the Word of God. Needless to say, it causes a small stir […]
A great day it was indeed! Not sure how hot outside…but easily broke 100. We had less people on the streets, probably due to heat. So things were calmer than yesterday. We had 46 people sign up to start the Bible studies today. And several great gospel conversations with folks. Many of the people remembered […]
This has been an incredible day! I wanted to make one last push for outreach allowing me to make some advances and hopefully get men set in place to continue the work if I am unable to have my immigration status renewed in January. So I contacted some men in the States and 3 men […]
"A Missionary was never designed by Jesus Christ to gather a congregation of a hundred or two natives and sit down at his ease, as contented as if every sinner was converted, while thousands around him are eating each other's flesh and drinking each other's blood, living and dying without the gospel. For my own part, I cannot content myself within the narrow limits of a single reef." John Williams missionary to the South Sea Islands
