A Trip to the Capital City

by dhammett on January 13, 2012

You never know when an outreach method will bear fruit.

Over Christmas 2010, I put an advertisement in a paper here in Francistown looking for men that wanted to study the Bible. Some of the responses were from Gaborone, the capitol. I had to put all of them on hold due to the distance of 4 ½ to 5 hours drive one way.

This Christmas one of those men contacted me and wanted to know if I could now meet with him. What could I do, but say ‘yes’? 🙂

So we made our way to Gaborone to meet with him and to find others he has also been talking with as well.

He has a group of about 4 men that want to study the Bible and another man he introduced me to also has a group of about 12.

Not sure where it will all end up, but we are going to be looking into working with them over the coming months.

Then on Friday of the same week I was again contacted by another man with a group of people.

Maybe the Lord is doing something in Gaborone?
